Blocked writers

H seems to be struck with some kind of a writers' block. And I have been struck with an extreme case of laziness. Sure, I claim to be busy with work (yeah, right!), but even I don't believe that I couldn't have taken off 10 minutes in the last 5 days to put down a couple of lines on the blog. Mea Culpa and mea confessing (don't know the Latin for 'confessing').

So, I came in this morning to the office with a determined waddle to put up something, anything on the blog. Just to shake myself off the keyboard-sluggishness.

The only thing I can think of is about my trip to Bombay (No! I refuse to say Mumbai. It's Madras, Trivandrum, Calcutta and Mumbai! So there!). Finally, I will see H's personal space, Dk's and her professional space and maybe even associate faces to all the voices I have been dealing with all these years at the Bombay office.

The last time I was in the city by the sea was way back in the last century, 1999. I don't remember much of it other than people, more people, traffic, more traffic and sweating the whole goddamn time! I had more idealistic reasons at that point to be there - I was writing my entrance exam in TISS for Criminology (Gawd! That was another lifetime!).

This time will be more vague - socialising, some pretend-work, some familiarizing with places that I have heard of from H and DK. But mostly, a break from the monotony of coming to Bangalore office, facing a 100-m hurdles dash of towering egos, 'planning' and 'executing' big ideas, enduring Dumb Flunky...

So, yes, Bombay should be good!
